Meet Our Team
Claude J. Gubler
Claude Gubler is the founder and owner of Periope, L.C. A St. George native, he grew up in Sandtown, where he learned the value of hard work from his father, a rancher and farmer. Claude often shares that he “loves his profession and the opportunity to help others,” a passion he brings into every client relationship as he helps people define their dreams and build thoughtful plans to achieve them. He is also a founding member of the Academy of Preferred Financial Advisors.
Claude graduated from Dixie High School before serving a two-year mission in Pusan, Korea, where he learned the Korean language. He later earned an Associate of Science from Dixie College and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Korean from Brigham Young University.
Claude is married to Aimee and has five children. He enjoys spending time outdoors, boating in the summer, and hunting and fishing in the fall, and also loves working out and golfing.
Hunter J. Gubler
Hunter grew up in St. George, Utah, and graduated from Snow Canyon High School. He became a state champion rugby player with Snow Canyon before serving a two-year mission in Trujillo, Perú, where he learned the Spanish language. After returning home, he moved to Logan, Utah, where he met his wonderful wife, Riley. He graduated from Utah State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. After graduation, he and his wife returned to St. George and are grateful to call Southern Utah home once again.
Hunter now serves as an advisor at Periope, bringing years of financial planning experience and helping clients benefit from the latest technology in the planning process. He is committed to building lasting relationships with clients and providing thoughtful, forward-looking guidance that supports their financial goals.
Outside of work, Hunter enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He loves hunting, fly fishing, traveling, boating, and riding his motorcycles. He and his wife have recently welcomed their first child, and look forward to making meaningful memories together as a family.
Clayton Horton
Clay was raised in Monroe and Circleville, Utah, and graduated from South Sevier High School before serving a full-time LDS mission in Carlsbad, California. After returning home, he moved to Cedar City to attend Southern Utah University and later completed a Master of Science in Accounting through Western Governors University. During his time in Cedar City, he married his high-school sweetheart, Allison, and together they now have two daughters, Avery and Elsie.
As the newest member of the team, Clay brings experience from the financial industry, where he worked in hedge fund and venture capital fund administration prior to becoming a licensed financial advisor. He’s excited to meet the clients Periope serves, build meaningful long-term relationships, and contribute a fresh perspective while continuing to learn from the talented team around him.
Outside of work, Clay is happiest outdoors with friends and family. He enjoys hunting, mountain biking, skiing, dirt biking and hiking. He and his wife love living in Southern Utah and look forward to adventures with their daughters both close to home and around the world.
TeriLyn Baker
Born and raised in Blanding, Utah, TeriLyn is proud of her small-town roots and the strong sense of community that shaped her. She graduated from San Juan High School and attended college at Weber State University in Ogden, UT. TeriLyn moved to St. George in 2001, where she built a beautiful life and raised four amazing children—her greatest joys and the loves of her life.
She has been an essential part of Periope since 2016, serving as Operations Manager with a heart for leadership, organization, and creating a positive, efficient environment for both team members and clients.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, especially boating with them at gorgeous Lake Powell. She enjoys riding side-by-sides, practicing yoga, traveling, and unwinding with good movies and great music. Her warm personality, adventurous spirit, and dedication to both her family and her work make her a cherished member of the Periope team.
Abbi Jones
Abbigail grew up in West Jordan, Utah, and later attended Utah Tech University, where she studied Media Studies and Marketing. During her three years in St. George, she fell in love with the sunshine, the outdoor lifestyle, and the strong sense of community. After graduating in Spring 2023, she chose to make St. George her permanent home and joined Periope L.C. in August 2023.
As Periope’s Marketing Director, Abbigail oversees client communication, event planning, and the creation of Periope’s monthly newsletter. She enjoys working in a role that aligns with her passion for communication and strategy, and she values the collaborative, people-focused culture of the Periope team. She is committed to strengthening client relationships and supporting the firm’s continued growth.
Outside of work, Abbigail enjoys pilates, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family and friends.
